Research on the JTCo. streetcars
I'm currently researching information for a proposed book on the history of streetcars in Johnstown.
I was born and raised here and still live here. My late father was the inspiration for doing this research. For 33 years he told me stories of "his" Johnstown and "his" Cambria City. (To the day he died he never forgave the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority for "demolishing" Cambria City).
I am looking for any artifacts, pictures, stories, etc. pertaining to the trolleys. ALL material will be returned unless otherwise stated.
What do you think? Can you help a guy with this project? Any material used in the book will be credited to the provider.
This is still in the preliminary stages but I hope to put together enough history to approach a publisher. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My e-mail address is Timdanapolski@aol.com
Here's to Johnstown! Top's Diner. JHS. The Johnstown Jets.
Anyone remember Lumley and Brophy?
Here's to Cambria City. And...for you ex-Johnstowners...here's to HOME!
