However old you get, one will never forget Johnstown.
I was born on Prospect Street in 1917, moved to Dale at 5 years old, attended Dale
School. Played on the hills above Dale, in the coal mines and caves, on
the grape vines. Ate green apples from Hornics Orchard picked wild
grapes and elderberries for 50 cents during the depression to go to the
Dale Theater to see Tarzan {Elmo Lincoln} .Winter sled riding on Singer
Road and swiming at Lorian Steel Mill Pond with cousins Kenny and Grant,
and Chub, and Kenny Keller and Pinney Richards all passed on leaving
memories.
Maybe i wil have one more chance to visit this year. Thank you Johnstown for the memories.
