ADOPTION

  • Ayres, Ayres & Fleming handles adoptions from the commencement of the process through final adoption proceedings. Our attorneys are trained to handle the termination of parental rights through filing and handling the Adoption Hearing in order to finalize adoptions either by stepparents or by unrelated adopting parents.

CIVIL LITIGATION

  • If you become involved in a civil case where litigation may be necessary, the attorneys at Ayres, Ayres & Fleming all have vast experience in handling these cases. We try our best to reach a settlement of the claim without litigation, but we have the experience to handle civil trials or arbitration if necessary.

ESTATE ADMINISTRATION

  • Estate administration is the process of opening a decedent's estate through the probate laws, administering those assets through the court system, and transferring ownership of the assets to the named beneficiaries under the decedent's Last Will and Testament or under the intestate laws of our Commonwealth. Our attorneys are experienced in handling all types and values of estates and we pride ourselves in our efficiency, promptness, and reasonable fees for handling all of our clients' estate needs.

ESTATE PLANNING

  • Estate planning is simply the process of passing assets from one generation to the next with the least amount of taxes and administration expenses permissible under the law. Our attorneys are prepared to handle your simple or complex estate plans to maximize the passing of assets between generations. We are prepared to advise you on Last Wills and Testaments, Living Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, and other more complex trust plans, Powers of Attorney and "Living Wills". FAMILY LAW

  • Attorney Linda Rovder Fleming handles family law, which includes divorce, equitable distribution of property, claims for spousal support and alimony, and child custody. GUARDIANSHIPS

  • A guardian is one who has been appointed by the Court to act on behalf of an incapacitated person; and who has been given the power by the Court to make decisions concerning all aspects of the incapacitated person's life, including financial and health matters. Our attorneys are experienced in handling all matters of guardianships through the Orphans' Court.

PERSONAL INJURY

  • Personal injury law addresses those cases in which our client has been injured due to the negligence of another party. Most commonly, this includes injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents. This may also include other types of bodily injury, such as slips and falls. Our attorneys have handled all types of personal injury cases on a "contingent fee" basis, which simply means that unless we get money for you by way of a settlement or a trial verdict, there is no fee for you. This is especially important to those clients who do not have funds available to them, or who do not wish to expend out-of-pocket monies for the attorney to handle their personal injury case.

REAL ESTATE LAW

  • Whether you are interested in purchasing or selling a residential home or a commercial property, our attorneys are experienced in handling all matters related to the transfer of real estate. We have handled multi-million dollar sales, as well as sales of modest homes, for our clients. We also handle related matters, such as commercial or residential leases and mortgages.

SOCIAL SECURITY LAW

  • Attorney Tim Ayres has over twenty years of practice in the Social Security field. He has represented hundreds of clients through Social Security disability or Supplemental Security Income disability hearings at the Social Security, Federal Court and U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals levels. If you believe that you or someone you know has a legitimate Social Security disability claim, contact Attorney Tim Ayres for a consultation regarding the claim. There is no fee unless the client receives money benefits on Social Security claims.

UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION LAW

  • Our attorneys have experience in handling unemployment compensation law, whether on behalf of the employer or the employee. Cases such as these are usually settled at the "referee" level in downtown Johnstown. However, on a few occasions an appeal is made to the Board of Review, and our attorneys have experience in handling both the initial hearing and appeal of unemployment compensation cases.
